Filing and preparing legal documents can be a daunting process if you do not have a legal background. It can also be expensive, but there is free and low-cost help available to residents of Hawaii.
Advice
There is free, or pro bono, help available to prepare legal documents in Hawaii. Volunteer attorneys are available to answer questions and offer advice.
Help
The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii has nine offices throughout the state to offer free legal advice to residents. This includes help with legal form preparation.

The State of Hawaii offers most legal forms free on its official website.
Prerequisites
To view official forms on the state website you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader Freeware.
Calls
Legal forms from the state need to be filled out entirely and submitted to the correct agency. If you have questions, state officials suggest you call the agency where you are submitting the form.
